This is a demonstration site. Sonora is not a real restaurant. The menu, the prices, the address and the phone number on this site are all invented, and no real orders are taken here. This page is a working example of the accessibility statement a restaurant using this ordering system would publish.

What we are aiming for
We want the menu and the checkout to work for people who order with a keyboard, a screen reader or a magnifier. The standard we build to is WCAG 2.1 at level AA, and we check the ordering pages against it with automated tools and by going through an order from the keyboard.
Where the site falls short today
Two parts of the ordering system cannot be used from the keyboard on their own. The cart drawer that slides in when you add a dish does not take the focus when it opens, the Escape key does not close it, and tabbing takes you into the page behind it. The option buttons on a dish, the ones that ask for a size or a filling, cannot be reached by tabbing at all, so a dish with options you have to choose from cannot be ordered without a mouse. Both of those belong to the ordering software this site runs on, and the fix has to come from the people who make it. We will update this page when it arrives.
The panels we built ourselves do work from the keyboard. The delivery details sheet and the opening hours sheet take the focus when they open, keep it inside the panel while it is open, and close on Escape.
